It’s awesome to think that tiny Norway’s special forces learned these guys how to survive in the cold winter!

I’m half norwegian and half from California (just for pointing that out) :)

The Brits Royal Marines are no joke. Their training is harder. Don’t let that funny accent fool you lol.

@laurensmalter…Yes the Marine Corps is a department of the Navy. But still in there own right their own department. Someone from the Navy cannot go to the Marines without first waiting till their enlistment from the Navy is ended, then going to Marine Corps bootcamp. Same goes for a Marine crossing over to the Navy. Then that Marine has to sign up for a rate (mos, career) that is compatible with entering BUD/S to become a SEAL and first go to that school or training before hand.

@navydave117 Oh, aren’t marines a part of the Navy? Well the Corps is part of the Navy?

navydave117 April 30, 2010 at 12:25 pm

@laurensmalter…how very wrong you are about what you said about Marines and SEALS.

navydave117 April 30, 2010 at 12:44 pm

You have to enlist in the Navy first. Then take a “SEAL Screening test”, then get orders to go to BUD/S. You go to Navy bootcamp, then your “A” school then BUD/S if you have the orders. Or if you are already in the Navy for some time you can take a SEAL screener test then request orders. I’ve only met 2 SEALS that were former Marines. They had to cross over to the Navy when their enlistments were up, go to a Navy “A” school, take a screener test, then request orders to go to BUD/S.

logcat2001 April 30, 2010 at 1:06 pm

They just dont go hey wanna sign up to be a navy seal? ok ill sign you up No way you have to go to boot camp and a certain age

deguimerautube April 30, 2010 at 2:01 pm

Unless you have a BUD/s contract, then you go in right after boot.

deguimerautube April 30, 2010 at 2:16 pm

I’ve seen Royal Marines in action, and having been in the US Marine Corps I can say that the Royal marines are better compared to the Green Berets. We have a fault when being Marines, because we think we’re the best, and in many cases it’s true… but the Royal Marines are exceptional warriors, and their selection process surpasses that of USMC. The truth is the truth.

Bonnman100 April 30, 2010 at 2:59 pm

To be in the navy seals it’s going to be hard to get from the marines to the navy, I don’t know many people that have ever done that, but to be a navy seal you must be in the navy. Not many people go to the marines then the navy, just doesn’t work that way.

Bonnman100 April 30, 2010 at 3:35 pm

there were no navy seals in ww2,

laurensmalter April 30, 2010 at 4:11 pm

A belgian fighter pilot would shoot down an american fighter anytime! Only problem is, Belgian AF doesn’t have the same high-tech material as USAF, becoming a Belgian AF Pilot takes up to 10 years (I informed) and becoming a USAF Pilot can be done in a few years, i’m not saying wich is better or anything, but belgian pilots have had more training and have been informed of more deadly situations, but again, the 10 F-16′s of Belgium are no match of the AF Fleet of the US lol

laurensmalter April 30, 2010 at 4:49 pm

Many SEAL’s are former marines (well former doesn’t really excist, once a marine always a marine) but great soldiers in the Marine Corps are adviced to take SEAL training.. You can’t become a Navy SEAL just like that, you need to become a soldier first..
